Why This Trip?
Remote, rugged, and wild, Alaska's Emerald Isle is just 45 minutes from Anchorage but truly feels like another planet. It's full of lush landscapes, sheer cliffs rising from the sea, and scenic beaches. It's also home to majestic bears, which in summer fish the Kodiak River for salmon. Check out the bears and explore this stunning island by car, where you'll find lots to do on your own as well as plenty of WWII history.
