4 single plywood bunks, Table and benches, Wood stove, Cooking counter, shelves, cupboard space, Broom, Outhouse toilet, Axe, maul, splitting wedges, Mooring buoy, Fire extinguisher provided. Water available from creek. Treat all water before using.

Location

East side Prince of Wales Island, 21 miles (34 km) from Craig, 38 miles (61 km) from Ketchikan.

Terrain

Flat with old-growth cedar, spruce, hemlock forest. Up to 50ft of rocks, boulders exposed at low tide (no sandy beach).

Special Features

Bottom fishing, salmon trolling off 20 Fathom Bank. Cove used as anchorage by commercial, pleasure boats. Numerous small lakes in hills behind cabin. Waterfalls in nearby coves. Bear, deer hunting. Spiral Cove (north) known for scenery.

Unimproved boat ramp at nearby Polk Inlet for launching small craft to reach cabin. Mooring buoy in cove available on first-come, first-served basis. Mooring more than one vessel allowed if first party there agrees.
