Soak in breathtaking views of water and mountains when you stay in one of the 4 charmingly rustic log cabins at this intimate, family-owned property beyond Homer.
Choose Your Oceanfront Cabin
Set oceanfront, each log cabin features a porch with chairs to take in the view, along with a bathroom and shower with hot water and a propane heater. There’s no electricity, making it the perfect place to unplug. Two of the cabins have queen-size beds, while two others have a queen and a twin.
In addition to the views, you’ll have exceptional opportunities to see sea otters, bald eagles (there’s an eagle’s nest on the property!), the occasional black bear, and even perhaps whales (when they pass through in July).
Amenities & Dining
All cabins have access to a wood-fired sauna (converted from an old cannery) and communal fire pit. There’s also a central yurt with a communal cook house, refrigerator for storing food, and camp kitchen, with everything you need to make a meal. Enjoy meals in the yurt, which includes two tables, two couches, a wood stove for heat, a ping-pong table, and books.
Things to Do
It’s easy to access Alaska’s famous hiking, thanks to a trail on the property that connects to 70 miles of trails through Kachemak Bay State Park. Enjoy the beach area and dock. You can also book a kayaking tour from the lodge to enjoy a day of paddling, or rent a kayak in Homer and bring it over with you to explore on your own.
