From the trailhead at the Eielson Visitor Center, hike well-marked switchbacks to the top of Thorofare Ridge. At the top, you’ll enjoy views of Denali and wide-open tundra. The climb is 0.8 miles one-way, but you’ll gain about 1,000 feet of elevation in that short climb! Most hikers can make the climb in an hour at a leisurely pace.
