Imagery in the 180-foot-long artwork is drawn from aerial views of the land around the airport, and a variety of historical and contemporary maps of Alaska. The collaged imagery poetically depicts real landscapes and both natural and man-made elements of the environment. Specific features can be identified; the airport itself, floatplane operations, the bays and waterways around Anchorage, and the Alaskan coastline.
