Enjoy dog sledding, snowmobiling, and aurora viewing at Snowhook Adventures’ winter lodge

November - April
Winter stays at Snowhook Lodge are all about experiencing Alaska’s most iconic winter activities. The adventure begins with an unforgettable dog sled ride, where you'll meet the dogs and venture through the snow-covered backcountry. Then, warm up with a lunch of hot chili before setting out on a 26-mile snowmobile adventure up Hatcher Pass to the lodge. Along the way are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and plenty of fresh powder to explore.

Upon arrival, settle into your cozy cabin, enjoy a hearty dinner, and gather to discuss the night sky and the northern lights. Many winter nights, the aurora borealis puts on a stunning show, filling the sky with vibrant greens and reds. The next morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast before embarking on a return journey down the mountain by snowmobile.

For those seeking a longer experience, a two-night trip is available, adding ice fishing and more snowmobile adventures to the itinerary.

Winter 2-Night Aurora, Dog Sled, Snowmobile + Ice Fishing Combo

This 2-day/3-night excursion includes all the unforgettable experiences of our one night package plus an extra night of northern lights viewing. As with the Winter Overnight Aurora tour, you’ll get meals, activities, and the winter outerwear you need to stay comfortable.
