The Tours

Rainforest Hike

Starting in downtown Sitka, this 2-hour tour heads into Tongass National Forest for an easy walk through the lush terrain. As you amble with your small group, you’ll take frequent breaks where your naturalist guide will fill you in on everything from wildlife to edible berries. Keep an eye out for eagles and spawning salmon in streams.

Adventure Hike

Get spectacular ocean and mountain views on this 3-hour tour. Start with a 15-minute ride out of town to the gorgeous Beaver Lake trail; you may stop to look for whales if they’ve been reported in the area. Then hike about 2 miles through the wilderness with your intimate group of up to 7. Look for wildlife like bald eagles, salmon, and Sitka black tail deer. Local Alaskan snacks are provided.

Downtown Walking Tour

Sitka is full of culture and history, and the best way to explore its car-free downtown is on foot. On this 1-hour tour, you’ll go back in time by witnessing the abundant Russian architecture and go deep into native Tlingit culture by studying the town’s totem poles. It’s a great option for all ages.

Sitka Scenic Photography Tour

This 2-hour driving tour visits the most scenic spots in Sitka so you can snap some dazzling photos. Whether you’re shooting with your phone or the latest DSLR, you’ll come away with gorgeous pics. Your guides will whisk you to amazing spots that make for stunning shots of mountains, downtown, and water; you may even see some whales.

You’ll also visit the Fortress of the Bear for some breathtaking shots of the 8 bears in their large habitat.
