You’ll be heading to a wildlife-rich area full of birds and marine life, and the scenic landscape can’t be beat. Expect to see mountains, shorelines teeming with tidal activity, and the Mount Edgecumb Volcano as you take in the aroma of the Alaskan wild with the breeze blowing through your hair.

The 36-foot expedition boat, the M/V Solaris, holds a maximum of 6, so it feels more like a private tour. The boat’s not only spacious with a large restroom, it’s also fast, so you’ll quickly get out to see the jaw-dropping sights.

2-Hour Trip: Explore Sitka Sound

Head off to Sitka Sound, where you’ll find abundant wildlife. You’ll visit the Medvejie Hatchery and watch local fishermen pulling in the day’s catch. Keep an eye out for whales along the coastline.

4-Hour Trip: Deep Wilderness Exploration

Go even deeper into the wilderness to visit Redoubt and Silver bays. You’ll visit a huge bird sanctuary, Saint Lazaria, with a cave you’ll sail right into, see salmon jumping, and watch for bears along the way.
