Packrafting & Rafting in Lake Clark National Park
The Tlikakila, Mulchatna, and Chilikadrotna rivers are all designated as Wild and Scenic Rivers. The Tanalian River, just outside of Port Alsworth is a popular but technical single-day run. Other runnable rivers include the Chokotonk, Kijik, and Drift rivers. Any river trip in Lake Clark requires not just white-water capabilities, but also wilderness travel and survival skills. If you’re interested in exploring the Park’s waterways, but aren’t confident in your abilities, consider hiring a guide.
