Located across the street from the performing arts center, ORSO makes a perfect before- or after-show spot—it’s also a great place for date nights. And, it's next door to a local Alaskan art gallery plus a few quaint shops to browse if there is a wait for dinner. Stop into Happy Hour at the bar from 3-6pm and 9pm to close.

Farm to Table - Alaska Style

The staff at ORSO pride themselves on excellent service and beautiful presentation of their fresh seafood dishes sourced form local waters, such as Kenai select sockeye salmon from Copper River Seafoods. The processing technique they use ensures great Alaskan seafood year round. When in season, these dishes are accompanied by local produce sourced from the Matanuska Valley, just 45 minutes north of Anchorage. Other favorites include the Chicken Parmesan Orso Style, and the seasonal Osso Buco (Braised Lamb Shanks).

Beer, Wine—and Goodies

ORSO’s neighbor is the Glacier BrewHouse, so you can enjoy their signature craft beers as well as a rotating list of seasonal brews. But one could argue the greater emphasis here is on wines: ORSO has an extensive wine list, and they regularly offer wine tasting dinners. Just be sure to make time, and save room, for the fabulous homemade desserts, such as the tiramisu or a molten chocolate cake.
