If you talk to anyone in Nome, they’ll tell you that the Nome Arts Council Open Mic event, held each March and November, is an event not to miss. Standing room only, with dozens of locals presenting their best music, poetry, and short stories. $5 entry fee, free if you sign up to perform! All monies raised support Nome Arts Council events throughout the year.
March Open Mic (Thursday during Iditarod Week) - Bering Sea Bar & Grill
November Open Mic (Mid-November) – Part of the Nome Arts Council Season kick-off, also includes a silent auction and dessert bar – Nome Mini Convention Center
