Goldbelt Tram
Experience Mount Roberts! This is more than just a cool ride: The Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway takes you 1,800 feet high and then lets you explore a park offering cultural heritage education, dynamic crafts and some amazing, expansive views. It’s Juneau’s most panoramic and breathtaking view!
Panoramic Perspective
The experience begins with a five-minute ride from the cruise ship pier to the 1,800-foot level of Mount Roberts as the Chilkat Mountains, the Gastineau Channel, downtown Juneau, Douglas Island and the highest peaks on Admiralty Island spread out before you.
Eagle-Eye Views—and Views of Eagles
At the top, explore the Sky Bridge and Mountain House complex created by Goldbelt Incorporated, the local Native Corporation that owns and operates this attraction. Visit the live bald eagle display, do some alpine hiking, and walk the trails. The interpretive signs, wildlife-viewing platforms, birds, wildflowers, and traditional Native tree carvings provide an enhanced mountain top experience.
Alaskan Seafood and a Film
Inside the Mountain House, or "Shaa Hit," you’ll find the theatre, gift shop, restaurant and espresso bar. Enjoy the complimentary 18 minute film, “Seeing Daylight”, about the Tlingit way of life. Shop in Raven Eagle Gifts & Gallery which features Native arts, and a made-in-Alaska gallery. When you’re ready for a great meal, The Timberline Restaurant offers Alaskan seafood, local beers, homemade desserts, and more of those great views.
