This trail was originally named Mt. Jumbo for Jumbo mine, but was changed to its current name in 1939 in honor of the former president of the Treadwell and A-J mines. This trail offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The trail is not maintained and may be muddy in places. Above the treeline there are many wildflowers and small pools of water. Hiking boots as well as water boots are recommended.
