Description
This modern, spacious cabin is located on the road system, 11 miles south of Wrangell on the Zimovia Highway. Open year-round, it sleeps 6-8 and meets ADA disability requirements. Firewood and a splitting maul are provided for a wood stove heater. A gravel path leads to a dock at Newt Lake, where a skiff (and oars) are available for use. The lake supports cutthroat trout.

Location
On Middle Ridge road in the Pat Creek valley on Wrangell Island.
Access
10.5 miles south of Wrangell on Zimovia Highway turn left on Pat's Creek road (6259). Continue 2.8 miles on road 6259 to road 50054 turn right, after 1 mile turn right onto road 50060 and follow for 3.5 miles until reaching cabin. Roads 50054 and 50060 are very rough and steep in places exceeding 15% grades with sharp switchbacks and few turnouts. RV's and vehicles towing trailers are not recommended.
Terrain
1500ft elevation in primarily muskeg in the immediate area with the surrounding area a mix of spruce, hemlock, cedar and lodge pole pine and a small lake below cabin.
Special Features
Wildlife viewing, deer and upland bird hunting, berry picking, great scenery, biking, swimming, ATV riding. During the winter months snow machining, skiing, and snowshoeing opportunities are extensive.
