Location
30 miles (48 km) southeast of Yakutat, 200 feet (61 m) from Dangerous River.
Access
By 4-mile trail from Dangerous River Bridge at end of Forest Highway 10 or by boat on the Dangerous River.
Terrain
Flat and wet. Vegetation around cabin is mainly brush with open areas and small willow/alder thickets, scattered cottonwood.
Special Features
Excellent moose hunting. Brown and black bear common. Spectacular view of Dangerous River with gull nesting colonies on many gravel bars. Sandhill cranes and geese in vicinity during spring and fall migration.

What To Bring
Fuel for the oil heater (#1 stove oil), drinking water, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. Gallon of fuel lasts 2-10 hours, depending on setting. Five-gallon fuel tank (without fuel) provided at cabin.

More Info
Dangerous River is a large glacial river with numerous logjams, sandbars, and floating ice. Strongly recommend using a jet boat. Use of non-powered boats not recommended.
