Description
Located on the road system 27 miles south of Hoonah at Freshwater Bay, this modern, cedar cabin sleeps eight and is heated by a wood stove. Renters must provide cooking gear, firewood, bedding and drinking water. Lower level, deck and outhouse are handicap accessible.

Location
Approximately 19 air miles southeast of Hoonah on the south shore of Freshwater Bay.
Access
Access is by vehicle, float plane, or boat. Total distance by gravel road from Hoonah is approximately 27 miles. A gravel beach in front of the cabin is suitable for landing and launching small boats. There is also a boat ramp and dock facility nearby.
Terrain
The cabin is on the south shore of Freshwater Bay and backed by dense evergreen forest.
Special Features
Good access to hunting and both freshwater and saltwater fishing areas. Excellent opportunities for recreation and viewing scenery and wildlife, including whales, brown bear, deer, shorebirds and a variety of small mammals.

What To Bring
Water for drinking, cooking and cleaning; firewood, mattresses, cooking gear, sleeping bags, lanterns or flashlights, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, and fire starter. Rain gear and boots are also recommended. Visitors are expected to pack out trash and clean the cabin before leaving.
