This upscale casual restaurant in Homer—part of Ocean Shores Resort—is a delicious destination for lunch and dinner and features amazing views of shimmering Kachemak Bay and the mountains beyond.
Views of Kachemak Bay
Built to look like a cannery, this restaurant is set in a gorgeous wooden building and serves up spectacular views of the bay through huge picture windows in the dining room as well as outside on the sheltered deck (where you’ll find heat lamps if it’s chilly). Choose from three levels to take in this incredible view. If you can tear your eyes from it, you can watch your meals being prepared in the open kitchen.
Fresh Alaskan Seafood, Steak & More
Start off with an appetizer like the calamari with a spicy aioli or the rustic Alaskan chowder, make with local fish, clams, potato, roasted corn, and fresh herbs. Then move on to a delicious locally sourced fresh catch, like the rough-eye rockfish, salmon, or halibut. Landlubbers will feel right at home here, too, with entrées like a New York pepper steak, a rib-eye, or a 5-spice rotisserie chicken made with cilantro ginger stuffing and served with mashed potatoes and house vegetables.
And be sure to save room for dessert—you won’t want to miss the bread pudding (made with caramelized apples, died fruits, vanilla custard, hot butter rum, and candied pecans) or the KG peanut butter pie (with a silky peanut butter filling, chocolate ganache, salted caramel, and a brittle garnish in a classic crust.
You’ll also find a great wine list and beers from breweries in Homer and across Alaska, as well as creative cocktails like a Pink Salty Dog (vodka, elderflower liqueur, and pink grapefruit juice) and a KG Blood Orange Margarita (tequila, blood orange puree, triple sec, and lime).
