The Grande Denali Lodge, with 160 guest rooms and 6 guest cabins, is conveniently located one mile north of the entrance of Denali National Park. Perched above the park atop Sugarloaf Mountain, the Grande has the best views of the Alaska Range in the area. The courtesy shuttle will take you to the Denali National Park visitors center, Alaska Railroad depot, Denali bus depot and area attractions, just a few minutes away from your serene retreat on the hill.
Room With a View
For a guaranteed view, ask for an upgrade to a room from where you can see the Denali Canyon. But even without a view, at 300 square feet, the rooms are some of the largest in the area. For more space and privacy, stay in one of the Grande Cabins. Each cabin comfortably sleeps four and features separate living areas, sleeping areas, and wilderness viewing deck.

The Grande’s main lodge hosts the front desk and a tour desk, with experts to assist you in booking activities in or around the Park. Relax in the log beamed fireside lobby, stop in for a tasty beverage or informal dining at the Peak Spirits Lounge. Looking for a coffee drink or quick snack? Check out Peak Espresso. The Sugarloaf Room is available for groups up to 100 guests for private functions.

Getting There

By Car: Go North on Parks Highway to mile 238.5. If you are traveling north, as you approach the park entrance, go right at Grande Drive. If you are traveling south, turn left at Grande Drive.
By Train: Take the train from Anchorage or Fairbanks. Denali depot is located at Mile 1.25 Denali National Park Rd. Pre-arrange a transfer with your hotel from depot.
By Motorcoach: The Park Connection provides shuttle service daily
