Set right on the gorgeous Chena River, this summertime-only campground serves up 150 full hookup RV sites and 4 tent sites. It’s perfect for travelers along the Alaska-Canadian (ALCAN) Highway, who often spend a night in Tok and then drive on to Fairbanks; or for those driving through the town of Chicken.
Campground Amenities
On the grounds, you’ll find a huge deck overlooking the river, fire pits, and outdoor games. Shop for souvenirs and sundries in the campground store. There are two bath houses, including free showers, as well as coin-operated laundry machines. And take advantage of the huge dog park and playground, where kids and pups can blow off some steam after a long drive.
While there’s no food service on the property, the closest restaurant is only about ¼ mile away, and there are a couple options for delivery. You’ll also find a nearby convenience store. And you’re only 10–15 minutes away from the wealth of options in North Pole and Fairbanks.
Reservations are recommended, especially when many large groups arrive between mid-June and the first week of August.
