Set on 80 pristine acres overlooking the estuary of the Kenai River, Diamond M offers everything from ornate suites to rustic cabins. So whether you’re a honeymooner or a hard-core fisherman, you’ll find lodging that’s perfect for you.
Diamond M is run by the Martin family, and the suites and B&B are part of their ranch and homestead, where they raise llamas, cattle, and horses. The Martins have lived out here since 1963, and that experience helps make them the perfect hosts. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they cook up delicious, hearty breakfasts!
Nestled in the woods, the simple ranch home has a spacious deck and blends into the environment. It’s filled with a lifetime’s collection of Alaskan artifacts, from furs to carvings and paintings. There are only two rooms for rent in the B&B portion of the ranch (or you can rent out the entire ground floor). The Master Bedroom and Lisa’s Room both have queen beds, private baths, and access to a shared kitchenette. Quilts and hardwood furniture add to a timeless feel.
Suites and cabins offer more options. They sleep from two to seven people, and you can choose from ones modeled after Gold Rush buildings, as well as rustic cabins, apartments, or bunkhouses. You also have a choice of amenities like Jacuzzi tubs, furnished kitchens, or dish network TV. Private decks, barbecues, and freezer space for your salmon come with most suites.
Regardless of where you choose to stay, you’ll have access to all the features and activities of Diamond M Ranch—fish-cleaning stations, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a viewing deck, trails, guided hikes, clamming trips, and potluck socials.
