This was built in 1926 by pioneer Alex McRae whose lifelong dream to own his own home was fulfilled with this log cabin. He built this cabin when he was 55. It was originally located at 407 6th Avenue, and was donated to Pioneer Park by the Winfree family.
Today, this storied cabin is occupied by Just Originals, a retailer of unique Alaskan items and gifts. The owner and artist, Justin Karella, is a born and raised Alaskan with an amazing talent in carving and sculpture. For more information, visit his website.
