History
Baxter Bog originated when a group of residents took a community school class on how to plan a park. It was described as a peat bog with the only natural lake in east Anchorage. A 5 acre site next to Baxter Bog is known as Pfleiger Park as the land was donated by Mr. Pfleiger.
