More Info
Generally the lake is ice-free (suitable for landing a float plane) from mid-June to mid-September. Poor weather conditions can arise quickly and may delay flight arrivals and departures. The square-bowed skiff (rowboat) provided is small but heavy. A long-shaft outboard motor in the 2-10 hp range is highly recommended for use with the skiff provided. Each person using the skiff should have a Coast Guard approved pfd. Be sure the plug is in before launching the boat. Please tie the skiff well up on the shore and pull the plug before leaving so the boat does not fill with rain water. DO NOT leave food behind when vacating cabin. Pack out all gear that you bring.
