Railroad Tours
The Alaska Railroad connects over 400 miles of Alaska's highlights: from Kenai Fjords National Park in Seward, Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali National Park, and on to Fairbanks in the Interior.
While rail travel is generally slower than driving, the views are rewarding as the train plies a route through many areas not accessible by road. You can stretch your legs, take pictures from the open-air vestiblues or from the large windows by your seat, and enjoy a beverage or good meal.
Like all Independent packages, you will still have pre-planned accommodations for each night as well as excursions booked in each destination you plan to stop. If you are not interested in a full railroad package with hotels and tours, see our Alaska Railroad page for more information on rail travel.
