Relax in a secluded forest setting right outside one of the most popular destinations in Alaska. Located just five minutes from Seward, Abode Well Cabins are convenient, peaceful and private.
Of the 13 available rooms, six are King Cabins (which includes a kitchenette and sleeps up to three) and one is a "family cabin," which has a full kitchen, separate bedrooms and sleeps up to eight with two queen beds, two twins, plus a queen-size sleeper sofa. There are also six Queen Studio Rooms available, with similar amenities to the King Cabins.
Each cabin offers free wifi, full bath with custom tile work, complimentary coffee and tea, fresh linens and towels daily, a front porch, private parking and use of barbecue grill, laundry room and picnic/campfire area. There’s a business center where you can check email or print out travel information, and a guest freezer where you can store any fish you catch in Resurrection Bay. The King cabins are larger than most hotel rooms, measuring about 324 square feet, while the family-sized cabin tops 1,000 square feet.
From your front porch, watch for wildlife such as moose, porcupines and eagles, or enjoy an evening cookout on the grounds—then set out the next day for any number of glacier cruises, kayaking trips or adventures in Kenai Fjord National Park. Or, of course, a dog sled tour. First opened in 1997, the Abode Well Cabins are part of the Seavey family homestead—the same folks who operate the Ididaride Dog Sled Tours, one of the most popular tours in Alaska and voted "The Best Dog Sled Tour in Alaska." When you book a night at the cabins, you can take 10 percent off the 1.5-hour Wilderness Dog Sled Ride or Real Alaska Tour.
