Getting Around in Angoon

Angoon is a small Tlingit village with no public transportation, no car rental and no taxi. It is a small community, so it’s easy to walk most places. If you’re staying at a lodge or bed and breakfast, the proprietors will usually arrange to pick you up with your luggage. If you’re traveling independently, don’t hesitate to ask around for a ride. Residents are friendly in this tight-knit community, and want you to enjoy your time on Admiralty Island.
