American Robin

This orange or red-breasted bird is usually one of the first to arrive and make itself known in the spring. Interestingly, many American Robins don't actually migrate but rather winter over in trees and bushes. They are a gregarious bunch, especially in winter when they congregate in huge groups. They like eating fruits and flowers and have been known to get drunk after eating fermented honeysuckle.
