Alaska Native owned,
the 180-room Seward
Windsong Lodge is a full-service
lodge set in a huge glacier valley
and spread out over 9 buildings.
Surrounded by forest with the
Resurrection River flowing past,
you’ll feel like you’re
a world away from the bustle
of downtown, yet you’ll
be just four miles from Seward
(and only 8 miles from Exit Glacier).
The Seward Windsong's cedar-log cabins, named after wildflowers, look rustic on the outside, but they offer a refined, natural style; you’ll find birch headboards on some of the log beds. You’ll also find modern amenities like a TV and VCR (free movies are available) and spacious bathrooms. Suites add a Jacuzzi, microwave, and refrigerator. You can hear the gentle flow of the river from your room. Many guests say their best night of sleep in the entire Alaska trip was at the Seward Windsong Lodge!
Go for a stroll around the property, along the walking paths strewn with wildflowers, or walk down by the river. Watch for moose wandering through the forest in the spring. The Seward Windsong Lodge has a complimentary shuttle that can take you to any of Seward’s attractions—and will pretty much pick you up anywhere if you flag it down.
In the lobby, there’s
a 24-foot-tall fireplace made
of river rock, big, comfy chairs,
and wi-fi, for those who need
to stay connected. Visit the
gift shop for hand-blown glass,
Alaskan books, and art from local
Seward artists.
And when it’s time to
eat, you’ll find some of
the area’s best cuisine
and great views of the river.
Resurrection Roadhouse serves
Alaskan specialties, along with
hand-tossed pizzas, coconut shrimp,
and a hearty breakfast buffet.
Then relax in the Goliath Lounge,
with the largest selection of
Alaskan microbrews on the Kenai
Peninsula . The Seward Windsong’s
gift shop stocks pieces from
local Seward artists and authors,
from one-of-a-kind hand-blown
glass to books of Alaskana.
