Why Go Sea Kayaking In Alaska? |
| |
There are so many amazing adventures
to be had along the coast of Southcentral Alaska-why should you go
sea kayaking in Alaska? |

|
 |
| Get closer |
Leave the crowds
behind |
| A kayak lets you go where the cruise
ships can't. When you go Alaska sea kayaking, you paddle alongside dramatic cliffs, weaving through rock
arches and rock gardens. |
Most Alaska sea kayaking outfitters pair a
maximum of six paddlers with a guide-and as few as two. That's a drastically
different feel in comparison to a cruise ship with hundreds of fellow
passengers. |

It's easy |
| In a sea kayak, you aren't powered by a big engine,
so the only sound you make is your paddle pushing through the water.
Moving quietly allows you to get closer to marine birds and mammals-and
to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Alaskan wild. |
Experienced guides will coach you on
safety and the basic techniques. Beginners can pair up and combine
their paddling muscles in a stable double kayak-or one person can
paddle while the other snaps photos or drags a fishing line. There's
no need to go fast-the slower you go, the easier it is to get right
beside a raft of otters or rookery of puffins. |
