Mt. Roberts Tramway - Goldbelt Tourism
Mt. Roberts Tramway video »

Step aboard the Mt. Roberts Tramway for a soaring cultural heritage tour. You’ll take a six-minute ride from the cruise ship pier to the 1,800-foot level of Mt. Roberts as the Chilkat Mountains, the Gastineau Channel, downtown Juneau, Douglas Island and the highest peaks on Admiralty Island spread out before you.

At the top, explore the multi-million-dollar complex created Goldbelt Incorporated, the local Native Corporation that opens and operates this attraction. The Mountain House complex, or “Shaa Hit,” includes a theatre, restaurant, espresso bar, and gift shop.

Also find a live bald eagle display, a Nature Center, wildlife viewing platforms, a self-guided trail marked by Native totemic carvings and access to upper alpine hiking trails.
