Anchorage Day 1 • Anchorage
Fly into Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Transfer via hotel courtesy shuttle and overnight in Anchorage (or purchase meet/transfer service).
Anchorage/Fairbanks Day 2 • Anchorage/Fairbanks
Breakfast is included today. Travel by deluxe motor coach for the spectacular narrated journey to Fairbanks; better known to Alaskans as the Golden Heart City. Drive through the Matanuska Susitna Valley where world record vegetables grow in the 24-hour daylight and hear agricultural tales. The route takes you along the Wrangell- St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the U.S. and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Fairbanks

Day 3 • Fairbanks
After an included breakfast this morning, meet your local Alaskan tour director and learn how the gold rush affected Alaska's interior on a city sightseeing adventure of Fairbanks with an included visit to the Fairbanks Museum. Time is available for shopping, walking or dining on your own in the downtown area. Included cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel. Travel back to the time when traditional riverboats plied the waterways of Alaska's interior during the late 1800's. Tonight, partake in an optional authentic salmon bake. Overnight Fairbanks.

Fairbanks/Denali

Day 4 • Fairbanks/Denali
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then ride the motor coach south to Denali National Park. Enjoy an afternoon of exploring this pristine area at your leisure by either participating in a complimentary park service activity or optional tour. There are many to choose from including mild or wild river rafting, flight seeing Mt. McKinley, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to the award winning dog kennels of 2006 Iditarod champion, Jeff King. Overnight at Denali.

Denali

Day 5 • Denali
After breakfast at your hotel, travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the pristine wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region and also includes a snack boxed meal with hot beverage. Overnight at Denali.

Denali/Anchorage

Day 6 • Denali/Anchorage
Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. Enjoy the early part of the day at leisure for your own exploration. This afternoon board the world famous Alaska Railroad for the day trip to Anchorage. As you travel along the Susitna River, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic Mt. McKinley or black bear along the banks. Overnight in Anchorage.

Anchorage

Day 7 • Anchorage
Enjoy breakfast and a city tour of Anchorage this morning, which includes the historic downtown district. Included visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a gathering place that celebrates, perpetuates and shares Alaska Native cultures. Tonight, feast on an Alaskan style meal and share tales from the road with your traveling companions. Overnight in Anchorage.

Anchorage/Homer

Day 8 • Anchorage/Homer
After breakfast, travel by exclusive motor coach to the central peninsula community of Kenai. Visit the Kenai Cultural Center and see the incredible display of Alaskan artifacts. From here, enjoy a narrated walking tour of the old town village of Kenai and discuss the Russian Orthodox influence. Continue the motor coach journey south and enjoy a boxed lunch en route as you view spectacular scenery like volcanoes on the far side of the Cook Inlet, lush green valleys and an array of wildflowers. Included unique "Welcome to Homer" dinner. Overnight in Homer.

Homer/Girdwood

Day 9 • Homer/Girdwood
Today, after breakfast, head north to the banks of the Kenai River and take a stroll down the dock to watch fishermen in this world-class destination. Visit an authentic cannery, with a chance to explore this century old historic site and dine at leisure (lunch not included). Visit the Historical Society Museum and see early homestead cabins, the first area schoolhouse and enjoy the nature trail. Overnight Girdwood, located in the scenic Portage River Valley.

Denali/Anchorage

Day 10 • Girdwood/Anchorage
Have breakfast at your hotel this morning. Afterwards, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for an up close look at some of Alaska's land critters. Continue touring to the port of Whittier for connections to a luxury high-speed catamaran. Cruise the calm and protected waters of Prince William Sound and come face to face with tidewater glaciers plus an amazing array of wildlife. Lunch is included onboard. Motor coach tour to Anchorage for overnight accommodations.

Anchorage

Day 10 • Anchorage
Your Alaska tour comes to an end with a hotel courtesy transfer to the airport (or purchase transfer service or extend with a variety of tour options).
