puffins, red-legged kittiwakes, and red-faced cormorants
are among many rarely seen species. The largest Aleut population
in the world resides in the Pribilof Islands. Their culture
has been influenced by other peoples who have come in search
of this Island's riches. The Russian Orthodox Church binds
the community together and still stands as a reminder of
past influences.
