On Top of the World- Tour 235
Barrow, located only 330 miles (531
km) north of the Arctic Circle, is Alaska’s largest
Eskimo village. You will learn about the 4,000 year-old
Inupiat culture as you listen to storytellers share their
tales, take part in native dances, and see a demonstration
of the traditional blanket toss - an important ritual of
celebration in Eskimo culture. Examine unique flora of the
tundra up close, and take a walk on the beach as far north
as you are ever likely to go!
