Anchorage Day 1 • Anchorage
An Explore Tours representative will meet you upon arrival in Anchorage and go over your travel documents with you.  Pick up your rental car.  Overnight in Anchorage.
Copper Center/Chitina/Kennicott Day 2 • Anchorage/Talkeetna
Begin your day with a visit to Iditarod Headquarters in Wasilla for a glimpse into the history of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race.  Proceed to Talkeetna, a quaint town that serves as the jumping off point for Mt. McKinley climbing expeditions (approximately 3 hours, 113 miles, 182 km).  Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge.
Kennicott

Day 3 •Talkeetna
This morning embark on a jet boat tour that will take you on three rivers; the Talkeetna, Susitna and Chulitna. Visit an authentic Trapper's Cabin during your 1/4 mile nature walk. This afternoon is yours to choose from a variety of optional activities – river rafting, hiking, or Mt. McKinley flightseeing.  Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge.

Anchorage

Day 4 • Kennicott/Chitina/Anchorage
Today continue south to Willow where you will take an alternate route to the Hatcher Pass/Independence Mine State Historical Park.  Once a gold mining area, Hatcher Pass is known for its abundant scenery and as a local playground for outdoor activities.  Overnight in the Hatcher Pass area.

Day 5 • Hatcher Pass/Knik Glacier
Begin your morning meeting some of Alaska’s oldest residents with an optional visit to the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer.  Learn how the under wool of these magnificent animals is woven into quiviut, a fiber that is warmer than wool and finer than cashmere.  Continue on the Old Glenn Highway to the Knik Glacier area.  Overnight at Knik River Lodge. 

Anchorage

Day 6 • Knik Glacier
Get your day off to an exhilarating start with a four-hour airboat tour of Knik Glacier. Look for wildlife and view this 25-mile river of ice flowing from the Chugach Mountains. Pull ashore for a two-hour visit to Glacier Camp and enjoy a light snack.  Overnight at Knik River Lodge

Anchorage

Day 7 • Knik Glacier/Anchorage
Return to Anchorage. End of Tour.

Tour Includes: Meet and Assist upon arrival, all accommodations as outlined, riverboat tour in Talkeetna and Knik glacier airboat tour.
