Fishing in Alaska is the dream of most every angler. It’s no surprise: casting a line in a remote Alaskan river and hauling out a huge salmon is an unforgettable experience! Of course, getting out to those remote rivers is one of the things that make the fishing special, and Natron Air can take you on an unguided trip to that perfect, untouched spot where you can make your big catch. And those catches are more plentiful when you’re far from the roads.
Based out of Soldotna and serving the Kenai Peninsula, Natron Air has just one pilot—owner Tim—but every passenger get a headset for both listening to and talking with the pilot—a rarity among air taxis. Tim flies a new GA-8 AirVan, which seats up to seven and is certified to the highest FAA safety standards; each seat with a "bubble" style window that makes your view on the way even more dramatic.
If catching silver salmon from glacial waters is your goal, Natron will fly you on a quick, 20-minute hop out to the Kustatan River, which teems with silvers. If fly-fishing is more your speed, take a bit longer flight (around 45 minutes) out to the clear waters of Polly Creek, Silver Salmon Creek, and Shelter Creek. With no road access, you won’t be battling tons of other anglers—it’ll be just you and the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness as you throw out your line for the famous Alaskan fish!
Note: Natron also operates hunting trips in the fall and winter.
