Homer's Inlet Charters Image

Ready to reel in the biggest catch of your life? Homer's Inlet Charters take you into the deep waters of sheltered Kachemak Bay for world-renowned halibut fishing. Professional guides will show you the proper bottom-fishing technique, bait your hooks, and gaff and haul your catch on board. Limit catches (two fish) are the rule, not the exception. The average Homer halibut tips the scale around 28lbs, but there's always a good chance of catching "the big one," with some growing as large as 400lbs!

Your 40-80 minute boat ride into the bay offers spectacular views of volcanoes across Cook Inlet, mountains jutting right out of the water, and a multitude of marine life. Thousands of birds fill the area, including puffins, murres, and murrelets. Many anglers will spot a humpback whale - or even a dozen, on rare occasions.

Kachemak Bay offers prime saltwater salmon fishing as well, both for kings and silvers. Tasty feeder kings, ranging from 15-35lbs, fatten up here before heading inland to spawn. Kachemak silvers are fresh from the open ocean and ready for a fight!

Your professional guides will expertly net, bleed, dress, and ice your catch immediately - all you have to do is hook it. Can't decide between Alaska's big two? Satisfy your need for both halibut and salmon fishing with a combo charter. Your guide will spend one tide fishing halibut and then troll for salmon.
