Fly through the very heart of Denali National Park and all the way around Mount McKinley with Denali Air. Depart from Denali Air's private airstrip, just south of the park entrance. This central location offers easy access to either side of the Alaska Range, ensuring the best possible viewing opportunities.

Your pilot/guide narrates the tour, and every seat in these 6 - or 8 - passenger twin engine planes is a window seat. Experience the park's grandeur and McKinley's majesty in a way that can never be appreciated from the ground.

Note: Don't forget that weather over the road may be very different from what you’ll see on the tour, so be sure to call for the latest weather information. Seeing Mount McKinley is never a sure thing, as it is located 90 miles from the park entrance and conditions constantly change. Each flight's exact route and McKinley circumnavigation are weather dependent. However, the best opportunity is from an airplane. About 90% of Denali Air passengers see “The Great One.”

What to Bring

Temperatures vary during the summer months. Clothing should be appropriate for temperatures on the ground. A light jacket or sweater is adequate. Bring a camera and LOTS of film. Photo opportunities abound on the flight.

Directions

Denali Air's private airstrip is located on the east side of the Parks Highway at mile 229.5. That's about eight miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park.
If you're staying in the local area, Denali Air provides courtesy transportation to and from all local hotels and businesses.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance to ensure your choice of flights. Credit card number required; card will not be charged until you fly. Denali Air accepts cash, travelers checks, AE, DISC, MC, V Walk - ins are also welcome up to the last minute when space is available.

Cancellations must be received 24 hours in advance. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the full amount will be charged. Flights can be re - scheduled or refunded if Denali Air is unable to fly due to inclement weather.
