  8, 10, 11, 13-day Yacht-Style Inside Passage Cruises

LogoWe're excited about this season's launch of Alaskan Dream Cruises. Finally an Alaska cruise line, run by an Alaska family we know well. Why do we like this so much?

  • They have small ships that can get you up close to wildlife.
  • They spend more time in better spots and aren't restricted by a tight schedule.
  • Their home port is Sitka, Alaska's most beautiful and culturally fascinating town.
  • The Allen Family has deep roots in Alaska and knows Alaska better than any other cruise ship operator.

Small Vessels Get You Up Close and Personal

BoatsWith decades in the boat building and tourism industries, the Allen family chose boats that can take you to the places they like to go. Unlike the "smaller" ships that carry several hundred, Alaskan Dream Cruises opted for yacht-inspired vessels that allow them to showcase their home waters in a more intimate way. Safe and comfortable, their two ships are quick and maneuverable: the 42-passenger, catamaran "Alaskan Dream" and the 66-passenger "Admiralty Dream." These guys grew up exploring the area they're taking you to. And they picked the perfect boats to do it in.

Spend More Time at Special Spots

WhalesA full day in the icy reaches of Glacier Bay National Park. Visits to cultural performances at native villages. Stop at rarely visited ports. And there's never a rush. The Allens created itineraries to give you enough time to slow down and really experience Alaska. Where other cruise ships rush through in a half day, you'll spend a full day.

The Allens negotiated exclusive rights to use the dock and road system in Hobart Bay. Alaskans know the best time on the water is dawn and dusk. Alaskan Dream Cruises has a base camp here, and you'll spend the next day exploring by sea kayak, skiff or ATV.

  See Alaska With Locals

LocalsThe Allen family chose Alaskan captains, crew, and expedition leaders with a passion for their home. They are former wilderness guides, Park Service employees and artists. And you can sign up for a cruise with a theme: hone your wildlife photography skills, study brown bears or work on watercolor painting.

  Unique Home Port

TotemWe love that the Allen's chose their home town of Sitka as Alaskan Dream Cruises home port. It's one of the most spectacular towns in Alaska. Originally a Tlingit Native village, Sitka became the Russian's American outpost in the 19th century. Set in a protected bay looking over the rugged north Pacific, the town's skyline is dominated by a volcanic peak to the west. The town is funky, a mixture of fishermen and Natives set amongst Russian churches and architecture.

  Wild Harvest at the Table

TotemWe Alaskans enjoy the best seafood in our backyard. So on a cruise run by Alaskans, it only makes sense you'll be treated to the freshest catches! Wild salmon, halibut, shrimp and crab come from local fishermen. Organic produce and Pacific Northwest wines and microbrew beers are served on board. It's part of the company's interest in sustainable, green practices. Luckily, in Alaska, eating locally means eating well.
