Land Tours
See All Alaska Land ToursA Land Tour is an Alaska vacation where the primary mode of transportation is a car, train, or bus (vs. a cruise). All packages can be planned and booked in advance, but you have the option to choose unguided or guided.
On Your Own
Get from place to place on your own, either by renting a car and driving yourself or by traveling on a motorcoach or train. Then you can add any day tours you want, including guided tours for activities like fishing or flightseeing.
Guided
A tour guide travels with you from place to place, your bags are taken care of, and lodging, transportation, and most meals are included. Your escorted land tour can either be with a large group (up to 50 people), or with a small adventure group (10 - 12).
Cruises
See All CruisesAlaska cruises are one of the most famous ways to see Alaska. Cruises are just easy: You only have to unpack once. Meals and entertainment are taken care of. Your only job is to relax while sailing through some of the world’s most magnificent coastal scenery.
Small Ship
Fewer passengers than large ships, more frequent and more up-close glacier viewing, and unplanned stops whenever wildlife appears. Explore wild, secluded coves where you can go ashore for nature hikes and embark on custom excursions. 12-150 passengers.

Call on 203 small coastal towns in Alaska's Inside Passage, have 1-2 glacier experiences, enjoy 24-hour dining, and have at your disposal all the amenities of a floating resort: casinos, gyms, lavish shows, spas, huge restaurants, 1500 - 3000 passengers.

See AllGet the best of land and sea. Adding on a land package (making your getaway a "cruisetour,") is a way to see even more of Alaska. It gives you an opportunity to check out Alaska's big cities, like Anchorage and Fairbanks, visit mainland national parks like Denali and Kenai Fjords, as well as small off-the-beaten path towns.
Anyone can create a cruisetour by adding a 3-7 day land package after a cruise. However, you get to decide whether you want your land tour to be escorted or independent.
